Starting a new school year can be daunting, but a new backpack with some fun and needed supplies is empowering; a small thing that makes a big difference! Be a backpack angel today and donate to help us purchase backpacks and supplies to distribute to kids from Kindergarten to Gr 12 heading back to school in the fall.

We are blessed by a generous city that supports our neighbours in need in a variety of ways throughout the year.
However you choose to share with us, please note that all donations should be NEW (we will take gently used winter wear) and can be dropped off at any of our locations.

Be an Angel
We have 2 seasonal campaigns that encourage Calgarians to be an angel for one or more kids by purchasing an item for a specific age group.
In early summer we need Backpack Angels to donate a good quality backpacks or supplies for a child aged Kindergarten to Grade 12. Backpacks with supplies are distributed in August to help ensure every child can start the year with confidence and the supplies they need.
In November and December, we rely on Toy Angels to donate new toys for children aged 0 - 12 yrs, so that every Calgary family can participate in the joy of the season.
Support our Fundraising Events
We host 3 large fundraising events each year - the Smash2Serve Pickleball Tournament in October, Santa Shuffle in December and our historic Christmas Kettle Campaign. Help us make these events successful by participating, volunteering or donating.
Host a Drive
Create more impact by hosting a donation drive! With a plan and some boxes, your work, team, church, family, or friends group could work together to collect food, winter wear, Christmas toys, or daily essentials.
Invite us to your event
Invite us to your event and provide your visitors with the opportunity to share donation items or dollars. We love meeting our neighbours and sharing about the needs in our city.
Donate a meal
A special way to support those experiencing homelessness is to donate a meal. We would even love to have you come and help serve it!
Donate with SkipTheDepot
Our partnership with SkipTheDepot means you can enjoy the convenience of having your empty cans and bottles picked up and also donate the proceeds to The Salvation Army Community Services (Calgary).
Give to The Salvation Army Thrift Store
Your household items and used clothing can benefit the work of The Salvation Army and support those in need by being donated to one of our thrift story. Check out their website for more information about what items are accepted and donation locations.
